24hr in South Florida: Here are my picks for a chill and quick visit.
I spent one month in Fort Lauderdale while I waited for some necessary documentation to be processed so I could export my sweet dog to Brazil.
Even tho, I was beyond stressed I took a minute to explore Fort Lauderdale, FL for a quaint solo brunch one weekend, and in another I decided to catch the speed train (Brightline) and head to Miami for a day to visit the museum of art and enjoy some food.
Here are some of my highlights and thoughts. Happy traveling.
Fort Lauderdale Bound
This quaint cafe in nested in Wilton Manors. It was just walking distance from my Airbnb, so I decided to walk there in an early Saturday and enjoy a slow start.
It was the perfect spot for a solo brunch, couples or friends to get together. The space is small, the menu have excellent selections and the staff was lovely.

Miami Bound
A staple in downtown Miami with plenty of options to explore a variety of Italian delicatessens.
Great place to people watch, if you are into watching how the other 1% live. Also, it can accommodate large groups.
If you don’t have a car to get around Miami and don’t want to keep on hoping on Ubers, make sure to check it out the public and free transportation available to take you from the Miami Station to Brickell and also the Museum of Art.
